Freedom of Information Annual Report 2010/11

There are a number of possible outcomes when an application is made to the Commissioner.  A case can be closed before or during an investigation, or after investigation with a decision from the Commissioner.  Applications to the Commissioner's office showed signs of growth towards the end of 2010/11 - applications during the final quarter were 20% higher than predicted. This trend has continued into 2011/12.  Cases open at the end of the year are carried forward - the percentage of cases carried forward has fallen from 30% in 2009/10 to 20% in 2010/11.
