Information requests

Freedom of Information Annual Report 2010/11

 The Scottish Information Commissioner is a public authority for the purposes of FOISA and must respond to requests for information that he holds.  The number of information requests in 2010/11 was 158 – broadly similar to the previous year but up from 84 in 2008/9.  All 22 of the Commissioner’s staff deal with information requests, responding to an average of eight each during 2010/11.  42% of requests during the year were fulfilled in full or part – but 46% were for information not held by the Commissioner.Table showing information requests to the Commissioner 2008/9 to 2010/11
