The current model publication scheme for all Scottish public authorities is the Model Publication Scheme 2012.

Below you can view older model publication schemes which are still in operation by a range of Scottish public authorities. These schemes tend to have been produced by bodies representing groups of public sector organisations. As the approvals for these schemes expire (see the Commissioner's programme of approvals), the Commissioner anticipates that adoption of the single annual model publication scheme will become common practice across all authorities.

Model Publication Scheme 2011

This Model Scheme was produced for adoption by the Commissioner for any authority listed in Part 7 of Schedule 1 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (the Act), or any publicly-owned company, as defined by section 6 of the Act. It has the Commissioner's approval until 31 May 2015. This scheme is no longer available for adoption - any authority which plans to adopt a scheme in 2012 should instead refer to the model publication schemes .
