Your rights to information

Q. What are my rights?

A.  You have legal rights which allow you to see information held by Scottish public authorities.

 

Q. Who can ask for information?

A.  Anyone can ask for information held by a Scottish public authority, whether you live in Scotland or anywhere else in the world.

Young people can also ask for information.  If you are under 12 years of age you may be asked to show that you understand what you are doing.
