Unhappy with the response?

If you are unhappy with how your request for information has been handled, you have legal rights to challenge this.

• If you have made a request and are unhappy with the response from the authority (or have not had a response), you have the right to request a review from the authority.  See Asking for a review.

• If you have already been through the two steps of making your request and requesting a review and are still not happy, you can appeal to the Scottish Information Commissioner.  See Appealing to the Scottish Information Commissioner.

• If you are unhappy with the Commissioner's decision on your appeal, you have a right of appeal to the Court of Session (but only on a point of law).  See Unhappy with the Commissioner's decision?
