Kevin Dunion, the Scottish Information Commissioner, is a public official appointed by Her Majesty The Queen on the nomination of the Scottish Parliament. He is responsible for enforcing and promoting Scotland's freedom of information laws.
Kevin employs 21 staff to support him in fulfilling his role. His office is based in St Andrews, Fife.
The Commissioner is also a public authority and is responsible for providing quality services and for best practice in the operation of his organisation. He is under the same duty as all other Scottish public authorities to respond to requests for information that he holds.
