| Annual Reports | Under s46 of the FOI Act the Commissioner lays a general report before the Scottish Parliament every year, on the exercise of his functions under the Act. |
| Research reports | Findings of research commissioned to provide insight into various aspects of FOI in Scotland. The knowledge gained from these studies informs the Commissioner in the conduct of his duties, and is also of value to others with an interest in FOI. |
| Assessment reports | The Commissioner conducts a programme of practice assessments amongst Scottish public authorities, and publishes a report and action plan for each assessment. |
| Video/audio | Videocasts and podcasts in which the Commissioner shares his views on a range of FOI related matters. |
| Other publications | A range of other publications relating to the Commissioner's activities in the conduct of his duties including: briefings and guidance; submissions to Government and Parliament; reports of events e.g. conferences. |
