'5th Anniversary of FOI' Campaign receives two CIPR Awards

The Commissioner's '5th Anniversary of FOI' promotional campaign, which ran from January to March this year, has received two awards at the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) 2010 PRide Awards. The awards were announced at a ceremony in Edinburgh last night (4 November 2010).

The campaign, which was developed and delivered by Real PR in association with the Commissioner's team - received the gold award for 'Best Public Sector Campaign' and the silver award in the 'Best Use of Media Relations' category.

Kevin Dunion, the Scottish Information Commissioner, said:

"I am delighted that our 5th Anniversary Campaign - which aimed to raise awareness of the important rights that freedom of information has given to the public - has been recognised in this way. The fact that a small-budget campaign such as this has been recognised for not just one but two awards by the CIPR is a clear testament to the hard work of all involved."
